How I Built a Free Facebook Lead Machine
The 5-Step Strategy That Ended My Lead Generation Stress

A few months ago, I decided I was done chasing people - even with just creating content non-stop.
You know that feeling—when you’re working hard, posting content, showing up, giving value…but your inbox is dry and your bank account doesn’t match the effort?
I’ve been there.
And after years in business (5 in real estate investing and 18 in network marketing, to be exact), I realized something powerful:
You don’t need to do more. You need a system.
That’s when I started building what I now call my Facebook Lead Machine—a process I discovered to generate free leads and automate my DMs without spending a dime on ads or spending hours glued to my phone.
It’s changing the game for my AI Agency business—and it can for yours too.
Let me walk you through the exact 5-step framework I use daily so you can start imagining how to apply it to your own business.
Step 1: Generate Leads
Let’s be real—you can’t grow a business without people.
But not just any people.
You need leads who are aligned. Interested. Active. Curious. People who would actually benefit from what you offer.
This step is about discovering where your ideal people already hang out on Facebook and learning how to tap into that space consistently, without spamming or begging for attention.
The most important thing to remember?
Leads are everywhere—when you know how to look.
You don’t have to run ads or pay for directories. Facebook is full of opportunity. You just need a method to find and attract the right people. (I actually decided to teach a group of entrepreneurs how to do this in a workshop, but more on that later.)
Step 2: Filter the Data
This is the part that most people skip.
Let’s say you’ve pulled in 2000 names. That’s amazing. But are all 2000 your ideal prospect?
Probably not.
Some are tire-kickers. Some aren’t even in your niche. Some may already do what you do.
That’s why this step is critical. Filtering the data using ChatGPT helps you avoid wasting time talking to people who aren’t a fit—and makes your conversations more meaningful from the beginning.
When you learn how to quickly sort through your lead list and isolate the people who actually want what you offer?
Everything starts to feel lighter. Your time feels respected. And your results become more consistent.
Step 3: Update Names
I used to hate not having a way to grab just the first name of the prospect vs the full name since that’s the way names are listed on Facebook.
I thought,
Why do I need the last name? I hate when people send me DMs with my first and last name.
It feels spammy right from the start, right? But here’s what I learned:
People respond better when they feel like a human is reaching out, not a bot just trying to get through as many “names” as possible.
This step is all about getting organized and personal.
I use a simple formula that gets pasted into my google sheet and voila…all the first names are in a column of their own.
It’s not just about formatting. It’s about putting a system in place so you can build better relationships from the jump.
When you treat people like people, they feel it. And they’re more likely to trust you.
Step 4: Create Custom Message
This is where your brand voice shines.
Once I’ve got my filtered and organized list, I don’t send a generic “Hey girl!” message.
Instead, I craft one custom message that speaks directly to the problem my audience is facing using ChatGPT and another secret copy/paste formula for my google sheet.
Think:
“Are you tired of chasing leads and ready for a system that works for you?”
“If you had an assistant working 24/7 to follow up with prospects, what would that change for you?”
In fact here’s my exact message I send out:
Hey (first name), I saw you recently joined the (target market name) group—welcome! Quick question—what are you doing, if anything, with leads that showed interest but didn’t convert? I’ve got a couple of ideas that might help you turn them into paying clients.
You only need one solid message to start real conversations.
And when your message is rooted in empathy, clarity, and confidence?
You don’t feel like you’re selling.
You feel like you’re serving.
Step 5: Send DMs via Automation
This is where the magic happens.
At first, I did all of this manually. I’d sit at my desk, copy-paste messages one-by-one, track responses, and try to keep up.
It worked…for a while.
But then I realized: if I want this process to be sustainable—and scalable—I needed help.
That’s where automation came in.
With the right tools, which are all FREE of course, I was able to send my pre-written messages at the right time, to the right people, without lifting a finger.

And because the foundation (the filtering, the messaging, the personalization) was already in place, it didn’t feel robotic. It felt intentional.
This one shift saved me hours each week—and led to real conversations with qualified leads I never would’ve reached manually.
Final Thoughts: Consistency Beats Complexity
If I’ve learned anything from building digital businesses over the last decade, it’s this:
Success isn’t reserved for the smartest or the loudest. It’s for the most consistent.
This 5-step system isn’t complicated.
It doesn’t require expensive software (in fact it’s all free).
And it doesn’t demand a huge team.
It just works.
Because it’s built on clarity, strategy, and service.
If you’ve been stuck wondering:
Where do I even find leads?
What do I say once I find them?
How can I possibly keep up with all these convos?
Then this is your sign to stop doing it all alone.
I built my system step by step—and I taught it in detail inside my:
It’s for the mom who’s building her business during nap time.
The entrepreneur who’s tired of chasing people who don’t convert.
And the visionary who knows her time is too valuable to waste.
Action Steps This Week: Find the People, Pinpoint the Problem
It’s not just about getting leads. It’s about attracting the right leads—the people your product or service was truly meant to help.
This week, take 15–20 minutes to sit down and get crystal clear on the following:
1. Who Do You Want to Serve—Really?
Think beyond “moms” or “business owners.”
Ask yourself:
Who do I love talking to?
What stage of life or business are they in?
What mindset or values do they typically hold?
📌 Example: “I want to serve overwhelmed service providers who are amazing at what they do but drowning in admin tasks.”
2. Where Are They Already Hanging Out?
Hop on Facebook and search for groups where your people are already gathering.
Look for spaces that match the mindset and challenges of your ideal client.
Ask:
What groups would they join to get support, not just inspiration?
Are there any niche, industry-specific communities they’d be active in?
📌 Pro Tip: Join 3–5 groups and spend a few minutes each day observing what questions people are asking. This is content gold.
3. What Pain Are They Talking About That You Actually Solve?
Now comes the alignment.
Ask:
What problem keeps showing up over and over again?
Does my offer clearly solve that issue?
How can I communicate that better in my messaging?
📌 Journal Prompt: “The #1 thing my offer solves for my ideal client is __________. And it matters because __________.”
Getting leads is easy when you're clear on who you're for, where they are, and what they’re struggling with.
This week, don’t focus on “finding clients.”
Focus on becoming the solution they’re already searching for.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need a process.
You got this.
With love and belief,
